Iannone boosts confidence as he warms up quickest

Pramac Racing’s Andrea Iannone may have qualified 11th on the grid for the Commercial Bank Grand Prix of Qatar but he was the pace setter in Warm Up at Losail on Sunday evening.
The Italian MotoGP sophomore was 0.054s quicker than his closest rival Aleix Espargaro (NGM Forward Racing), topping the timesheet with a 1’55.657s lap ahead of tonight’s racing.
In third place was Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP), with Alvaro Baustista (GO&FUN Honda Gresini) and Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) also in the top five.
The top ten was completed by pole man Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team), Bradley Smith (Monster Yamaha Tech3), Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team), Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda MotoGP) and Pol Espargaro (Monster Yamaha Tech3).
Cal Crutchlow (Ducati Team) was 11th and crashed at speed at turn 2, whilst there was also a crash without consequence for 21st placed Danilo Petrucci (IodaRacing Project).
