A new era begins for Clinica Mobile in MotoGP™
Tuesday, 25 February 2014
Doctors Michele Zasa and Guido Dalla Rosa Prati are to take over from Dr. Claudio Costa at the head of Clinica Mobile, as of the new MotoGP™ season which starts in Qatar on 20th March.
Meanwhile, the services offered by the World Championship’s mobile clinic will continue to grow, in collaboration with the Dalla Rosa Prati European Diagnostics Centre, based in Parma (Italia).
A 30-year association between Clinica Mobile and the MotoGP™ World Championship will therefore be enhanced by the advanced technology made available by the Dalla Rosa Prati Centre.
The founder of Clinica Mobile, Dr. Costa, will oversee the launch of this new phase for the traveling clinic, which will be headed by Dr. Zasa, who has several years of experience within the World Championship, along with Dr. Guido Dalla Rosa Prati, the current director of the European Diagnostics Centre.
"Some people in positions of authority do not get to appoint their successors or they appoint them when they are already too old," commented Dr. Costa. "So for those reasons and because I will soon be 73 I’ve decided, with great affection, to appoint someone to carry on the work which I started in 1977 with my father Checco. I will now attend less World Championship races, but I’m sure that when I do go to Grands Prix my successor Dr. Zasa will be doing a great job. He speaks several languages and has the experience of providing care to riders."
"To further enhance our work, Dr. Zasa will lead the clinic alongside Dr. Dalla Rosa Prati, the head of the European Diagnostics Centre. Clinica Mobile will continue its presence in the paddock and Dorna have told me that they will continue to provide their support, keeping the original philosophy and spirit of the clinic going.”
