Honda riders provide safety tips to youngsters
Thursday, 20 June 2013
Shortly before the Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya Repsol Honda riders Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez, along with Go&Fun Honda Gresini man Alvaro Bautista, visited the Honda Safety Institute (HIS) to show their support for safe riding.
Several lucky students aged 14 and 15 were in attendance at the riding centre to receive advice on safe riding from the three MotoGP™ World Championship participants, who also hosted an informal press conference with the youngsters.
The riders answered the audiences questions and showed them how ride with caution on the demonstration track, as the young students rode on Honda Vision 50 bikes.
The trio of Honda representatives each carry the Honda Safety logo on their liveries at Spanish rounds of the World Championship this season.
Honda created the Traffic Safety Promotion Division in Japan in 1970, with the Honda Instituto de Seguridad (Honda Safety Institute) just outside Barcelona being an extension of that movement.
