TAMBLING TAKES TO THE PITCH ONCE MORE

There was huge applause for both of Chelsea's 200-goal men at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Frank Lampard's penalty which made the score 2-0 against Swansea was duly celebrated, and only minutes later Bobby Tambling was greeted by the home crowd when the club's all-time record scorer made an appearance on the pitch at half-time.
Tambling, who played 370 games for the club between 1958 and 1970, left hospital recently and was able to travel from his home in Ireland to be the special guest of the club at today's game.
Having watched the first half from the Directors' Box, he was accompanied by his wife Val and brother-in-law Buzz for an emotional greeting from the crowd (pictured above).
Lampard's goal took him to within one of Tambling's 202-goal total for the club.
Following the game, the two met along with Kerry Dixon, Chelsea's third highest scorer on 193 goals, and they were all interviewed together by Chelsea TV. That can be seen in Weekend Review on Monday evening.
