The Kings of Europe have lifted the Champions League trophy again twelve years after conquering their ninth in Glasgow. Real Madrid continue to improve their European Cup final stats, as they have now won ten of the 13 they have played. With 77% of victories in finals, it is the club with the highest win rate of those that have won the title more than twice. They are followed by Liverpool, with 71%, and Ajax, with 67%.
Real Madrid have also played in more European Cup finals than any other team. In the 50s and 60s their dominance was clear: eight finals and six trophies. Later, the Whites were to bow out in the 1981 final, but they won the competition again in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2014.
